It’s been a while, although you probably haven’t noticed. But my last post was from August, and my prolonged absence was caused by getting kicked off of Instagram 😭 I think the official reason was suspicious activity, but they didn’t give my account back until mid-December – at that point, I had given up hope and started a new Instagram page from scratch 😅

But now that they’ve finally returned my page to me, I look forward to sharing the rest of my Japan travel photos with you! Fingers crossed that they don’t kick me off again lol

While I was a little creeped out by this wooden statue at the Todai-ji Temple in Nara, it actually depicts Binzuru, a popular arhat in Buddhism who possesses the gift of healing… so by rubbing the statue in a region where you are feeling pain, it helps alleviate your pain!

While I wasn’t too impressed with the city of Fukuoka, I loved visiting the reclining Buddha at Nanzoin Temple. 41 meters long, it’s about the same size as the Statue of Liberty!
